I'm not sure what's going wrong.
I obtained my EAD in the U.S. 3 weeks ago and started to search for my first job as an iOS Developer after more than 3 years of empty window.
Well, that 3 years is not completely empty since I had been actively working on oversea clients and some personal projects. Most of my sellling points on resume are from the past 3 years.
For 3 weeks I have been applying almost every visible iOS Dev job post and almost everything turns out to be a rejection so far. But there are a few interviews going on in the pipeline.
I understand that my lack of U.S. industry experience is the reason for majority of rejections.
I'm confused about one thing. Why do recruiters disappear after they submit my profile to their client? I submitted more than 20 profiles through recruiters in additional to those I applied solo. But only 2 are moving forward; others have been silent ever since.
And even the two applications with recruiters (both are contract positions) are going extremely slow since they require 3-4 rounds of interviews and each may take over a week to schedule.
So my question is, is this normal for SWE job seeking? And what could be a good approach to take to get my foot in the door of iOS Dev?
It's been 3 weeks without any offer. I have been under going huge panic and anxiety. Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
