I\'ve been at my current job for 3 years after graduating college, doing primarliy Go and C++ with a mix of python/javascript/C# at times.\n\nI currently have two offers:\n### Company 1\n* Same industry as my current position\n* Similar stack, primarily Go and C++\n\n### Company 2\n* Different industry entirely\n* Different stack, JVM based languages\n\nCompensation is similar for both positions. Company 1 provides free breakfast/lunch/dinner and has more of a start-up feel, while company 2 felt more corproate.\n\nMy initial thought was to go with company 1 since it is directly similar to what I\'m doing now, but now I\'m starting to think it may be a good opportunity to try something new with company 2.\n\nFrom a career perspective, is it more ideal to focus on a couple languages (Go, C++), or would it be more beneficial to branch into a different industry and stack (Java/Scala/Kotlin)?
