I have around 4 years of work exp working as software engineer in a bank. The work there is not great. It is sort of a devops+support role. I don't think I have interest and acumen for the role as I work more. Sometimes I just don't feel like working. I tried switching to product based companies for a software engineering role but the iterviewers are mostly looking for someone with product dev experience, which I lack. Some recruiters don't consider my profile because I don't have experience working in Java. Some says they are looking for people who have experience working on large distributed systems. I am really confused how to navigate through my career. It looks like a stop for my progress and further growth. I am stuck and unable to think clearly. Please help suggest ways to get out of it. How to prepare for software engineer roles for product based companies? Please suggest resources as well
