How do you improve your tech resume?

Hey guys,

I'm actively applying for Data Science roles, so along with preparing for interviews, I'm polishing my resume and cover letters to actually get those interviews. Recently I've found a cool app called CV Compiler on Product Hunt. Having uploaded my resume file, I found out that it has 11 suggested improvements, some of them being related to including the in-demand Data Science and tech skills. As the free version says I've got only 10 Data Science top skills out of 30 which are trending now, (I wonder what the remaining 20 are). And it says that 30% of my resume relate to databases, so I definitely need to change something :D

Have you given a try to this or similar tools? Is it worth spending time? Am I exaggerating, or the perfect resume can really help me to avoid rejections?
