Being a Software Engineer is easy but being a good Software Engineer is not. Coding was not my passion from always but as I get to know more about languages, technologies and how code works it was all like magic for me. If you can code you are the wizard with magic in your hand that can change the world.
It took me 2 years to actually become a developer, I was on the business side but I knew I wanted to code so I keep on learning by myself. Switching from one profile to another is not easy but if are devoted and sincere beleive me you can acheive anything.
