Hello fellow leetcoders,

I am very confused regarding the internship offer at Nomura. I have been offered software role in the IT division of Nomura for a period of 5 months. From what I have heard, the IT roles at Investment Banks offer less learning experience when compared to other SDE roles as they mostly rely on inhouse technologies, thus making the experience non transfarable.

That being said, I am not sure of how true the above statement is. Also, I genuinely believe the pay is good. I eventually wanna land an SDE role at some FAANG type companies, so just your regular guy.

Here is what I need the guidance regarding

• Does the work at Investment Banks IT job (Nomura in case) not translate to any learning for SDE role.
• How expensive is Bombay, and how do I manage there.

Any guidance is highly appreciated.
