I'm a 2022 graduate from 2nd gen IIT with an on-campus offer from Tiger Analytics as a Data Analyst with 13 lpa CTC (11 base), yet to start the FTE. I would strongly like to shift my role to Software Developer and had previous experience of working as an app developer during my internship. I have again started to practice on DSA and CP. Will it be able to make a shift to the SDE role with good programming knowledge in the near future (possibly within a year) (or) does the recruiters strongly consider the difference in the field which I'm currently employed and the role I'm applying for ?

I would love to hear the answers and suggestions who are already present in the industry.
