On what factors does promotion depend upon? Is the performance of the employee enough or is weightage given to masters degree ( either MTech/Ms/MBA) while promoting employees to higher ranks like Program Manager, Principal Engineer, Director of Engineering, etc. And if degree matters, is an MBA or masters in CS better in that regard?
