Hi all,
I have been facing a strange situation at work. I am a sr software engineer at a company in London (Tech) and have been here since 1.5 yrs now. I recently got my manager changed. The person who became my new manager is trying to prove their worth. Now, I am a senior member in the team, but I have been told time and again, I don't act like one. I only differ from my junior peers in delivering late. But there could be multiple reasons behind it. At least, I am delivering. Maybe the tasks my fellow co-workers were assigned were not as complex. Whatever it may be, I feel the discrimination should not happen. This is not making it easy to concentrate on my tasks. My physical health as well as mental health are being impacted. I have a kid who gets neglected so many times. My fellow peers are mostly single, so obviously, they are no doubt more productive as they can spend more time(if they like). I wanted to know how I confront my manager? He has tried to hint that "be ready for any surprises". I am not sure what this means.
