Hi All,

Writing this post just to know if this is a common occurence and also to learn how to handle below situations. Intention of the post is to seek help from others who have faced this before.

6 weeks back I have been approached in LinkedIn by a recruiter from Google inviting me to apply for a backend engineer role. The profile seems genuine and I got super excited as it has always been a dream for me to be in a place like this. I requested for 2 weeks of preparation time for a phone interview and I was shared with interview process. Finally after 2 weeks I felt I was ready and sent an email requesting to schedule an interview. Recruiter said he wanted to talk to me. I have shared my contact. But the call never came. I didn't want to bug the recruiter with emails and messages, so after a week 1 sent an email and after another week another reminder. I initially thought the recruiter was not active on emails/LinkedIn or on personal off, later I realized that wasn't the case.

After 2 weeks, I got another connection request in LinkedIn from a requestor from Microsoft asking to me share resume. The profile seems genuine and I again got excited. As I was already prepared to take up technical interviews, I immediately wanted to schedule it this time, I accepted the connection request and responded to the recruiter with my contact details to reach out to. I never received the call. I followed once after a week and once again in another week. Still no response. Again, I didn't want to spam the recruiter with so many messages mainly because i did not want to look desperate even though I am.

waiting for almost a month, I decided to move on and tried to connect with some recruiters with personalized notes. Absolutely no response.

I understand recruiters will be extremely busy during this time of the year where hiring happens in a large scale. Any good tips on positively approaching recruiters please ?
