Lets say you get into one of the FAANG/Unicorn/Hedge Fund companies that pay the top bucks. Once you get in, you realized that everyone over there is very smart and around similarly compensated as you are. Fast foward a few years, you realized that there are people that are smarter and way more compensated than you are.
Assuming you are greedy as fuck (i.e, can't think about anything else other than money, and willing to sell your family members for it, and will not regret it on your death bed) but still want to be rich, earn high income, but ethical and as legal as possible (no robbing, killing, murdering, drugs, kidnapping, money laundering etc) and you are willing to sell your soul to the career demon lord of greed. How would you do it?
- Stay in the same company for many many years and aiming to be one of those senior staff/principal engineer that makes > $800k, or
- Leetcoding and keep jumping companies every year/2 years?
Or do you do both? i.e, do no. 2 until you almost get banned by every tech companies in the city because of keep jumping, and then stay in the same company for many many years until you get no. 1?
Assuming that you really really wanna go balls out. i.e, you won't ever say during your death bed like "I wished I didn't do more leetcode" or "I wished I didnt' chase only career". Assuming you are the type of person who will say "I wished I did more and more Leetcode every day, every minute, every second" or "I wished I could get an extra $1m per year salary"
