I am a transition from QA-->Production Support to a pure dev role. This is my first year working full time as a developer. I have overall 9 YOE. I just wanted to understand, if we are given tasks and we are unable to meet deadlines, how can we convey that to managers? I am facing some issues communicating to my manager (who is also not a manager but a co-worker who is transitioning into manager). Sometimes, it is very difficult for me to explain why tasks take longer, code reviews, addressing those reviews. Such that I am being micromanaged now. Just want some advise, how I can face this situation. I am putting almost 11 hours or more of my time
