Need some advice on how to project myself. I started my career in 2015 and worked as a data engineer for first 2 years. Further on, as i became senior member of the team I was given assignments which were more full stack and were more like feature work whichh any other software engineer was doing at that time. So I worked as a software engineer for the next 2 years, and did bunch of things from breaking out our services, to write parts of it as azure functions, to write unit testing framework etc.
Furhter on I was promoted to a Prinicpal Role(which is comparable to staff engineer role anywhere else, except with couple of more peanuts for salary). In this role I was workind very closely as a devops department. This was the time when for 3 years our departments aim was to break out into cloud i.e. azure. I remember there were days when I would just help other teams with CI/CD pipelines issues. I got very involved in the azure deployments strategies and how to utilize our budget.
At the start of 2021, I was asked to work for a new team. Basically my old team dissolved as our product kinda died. In my new role I am working as a software engineer (starting from the bottom ) on a new stack of angular and java. Honetly stack is not an issue and I am loving it. Basically the new team has a different style of working (:cough TOXIC), which I am not used to.
At this point I am looking for a new job. **Granted I have a combination of data engineer + software engineer + devops engineer how do I project myself. I want to aim for senior engieneers, but feel like I dont have a continuos code writing experince. **
For example I am not sure how will the recruiters will take to my resume if I write about the performance tunings I did to speed up our ETL projects.
