Can I apply to a FAANG company, i.e. Google's California offices, if I am outside the US and do not have any sort of permission to work or live there? I would prefer to live and work in California rather than in the EU, which is where I currently live and work. Also, I think I have a chance of getting a job at Google, but I'm definitely not a stand-out candidate.
