Google Pixel is looking for Embedded Software Engineers to join the growing embedded software team to help architecting, developing, testing and deploying complex embedded consumer devices.
Job Roles:
- Embedded Software Engineer-Pixel Core System
- Experience with embedded system HAL/ Kernel and Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience in C/C++/shell programming.
- Experience with android framework crash analysis.
- Experience with ARM and/or other low-power SoC architectures.
- Embedded Software Engineer-Pixel Thermal/Device Performance
- Experience and knowledge of power/thermal management SW.
- Experience and knowledge of Linux kernel internals: CPU scheduling, memory management, block layer and file system.
- Experience in benchmarking, or performance profiling tools design and development.
- Experience in C/C++/shell programming.
- Embedded Software Engineer- Pixel Multimedia
- Experience with development within embedded systems/firmware design.
- Experience coding in C or C++.
- Experience with media stack, including decoders, encoders, performance tuning of media stacks, etc.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments and the development of Linux device drivers.
- Experience in modern video codec (e.g., HEVC, VP9, AV1) algorithm and Android media framework.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following: embedded systems development/ firmware, operating systems, device drivers, ARM, x86 assembly, system BIOS, or hardware/software integration.
