I am planning to retire by **40** and I need suggestions on what are the **high paying jobs** as the salaries of Data Engineer are not upto Software Engineer salaries.\n\nI am ready to switch the role and put the effort required for the transition. Previously, in my current org, I got good amount of development work but now there is leterally no development work. \n\nSo, I am looking for the roles where I can get good amount of development work with better package. Also, please suggest the resources that will help me for transition.\n\nAs per my observation on **Levels.fyi**, **Distributed Systems - Backend Engineers** are paid more. \n\nPlease provide your suggestions on which is the best role with coding and high pay.\n\nI am planning to join a big product MNC or High paying startups and then I will transition to Backend roles internally.
