I have 9 YOE in software development and 5 YOE customer technical/network support experience as staff level. I can handle both work but not that best in either area, so I didn't get to promote to very high level. I want to start new job but I am not sure which direction should I pursue further.
software development seems need work more harder and alway has new knowledge or coding skill to improve than technical support from my experience and technical support has a lot troubleshooting meeting and can not have flexible time, network testing and configuration also need learn constantly. Any advise is appreciated ....... from your career experience
