I have 9+ yoe experience in embedded and my ctc is very low. For past few months I am rigoursly trying for change. In all the interviews which i have cleared, HR used to say that the techincal team has give very positive feedback about me. But, during compensation disscussion these same HR limit the hike to 30-50% of the current CTC. They all say the same AS PER POLICY.

Should I think of trying for some of the FAANG companies? Will they you use my current CTC for making any perception?

Day by day I going in depression, loosing confidence, hope, dont know what to do.
