Hello, a quick background about me: I'm a software engineer with 3 years of experince in the software industry in India. Throughout my career till now, I've worked on multiple backend systems, even worked on one from scratch. I thoroughly enjoyed my journey till now as my work involved all the aspects of software development -- coding, testing, deployment, & even documentation.
I recently made my first switch & joined another product-based MNC (can't disclose their name). They started their R&D centres in India only a few months back & so, they were on a hiring spree. I got hired to work on one of their critical systems & thus, I was excited to learn and grow in that domain. However, after I joined, I realized that the system has already been built & working in production. Focus is now more on the operational & quality side of things -- DevOps & QA. Also, agile practices are not followed properly, leading to a lot of mess-ups & lack of co-ordination in the team. It's been around 3 months now and I haven't seen things improve on any front even after regularly pointing them out.
I'm now thinking about starting the job search again but wondering whether it'll be a good move to leave so early. Should I stay with the hopes that things will improve? If yes, how long?
I'm confused!
