I wanted to share my experience with leetcode community about working in Atlassian for two and a half years.
I think it will be helpful to anyone who was considering joining that company - DON'T DO THAT, they lie about everything. Lies on all levels, starting from managers, HRs, and even founders. They lie about Unlimited PTO, Unlimited Sick Days, lie about caring company culture they try to build. Do not trust them!
So what's going on? I was fired yesterday simply because my wife fighting cancer. I was pretty successful, and did really well in interviews, so they offered me a good salary, and promised 20 days of vacation + federal holidays, promised Unlimited Sick Days (they're still promoting it), but turned out that:
As a result, they terminated my employment right between surgeries. My wife just had surgery and barely moving, needs 24/7 attention. The next surgery is planned for 29th of September.
Atlassian introduced their 6-week improvement plan and fired me after 2 weeks into that saying that they "don't believe anything's gonna change".
There are multitude of law violations in the org. For example:
There is so much to say, so I put up a website: www.shitlassian.com where you can find more info.
Leetcode has been so helpful to me, I wish you a good luck interviewing, and avoid Atlassian at all costs!
