I wrote a post about my two innings where I got 9 rejections and then 4 offers: https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-experience/1445033/a-story-of-2-innings-getting-9-rejections-and-4-offers/1074244. An interviewing journey which went for around 18 months.
There were questions in comments around how to apply for foreign companies from India. I am going to list down the things that should be kept in mind and how to apply.
Steps:
- Along with resume, some companies ask for cover letter and I think they take it seriously. My advice would be not copy the same things that are there in your resume, but think a bit and highlight few points that makes you stand out. It can be technical or behavioral.
- Needless to say that resume should be crisp.
- Referrals do work for international locations as well. So, use friend XYZ in ABC company.
List :
I am only listing down the companies from where I got at least one call. (Including the HR's call)
- Booking.com - Netherlands https://jobs.booking.com/careers
- Amazon - Vancuover https://www.amazon.jobs/en/location/vancouvervictoria-canada
- Zalando - Berlin https://jobs.zalando.com/en/jobs/?gh_src=22377bdd1us&filters%5Boffices%5D%5B0%5D=Berlin
- Google - Zurich - Referral
- Facebook - London - Referral
Other than these, I was reached out on Linkedin for a few companies
- Rakuten, Tokyo
- Paypay , Japan (Tokyo, I think)
I also applied for Twitter, Bloomberg(London) and a few others but did not get call.
Hope it helps.
