Hello Everyone. I am a 4th year student currently studying in one of top 3 NITs. I have good work experience (interned at Microsoft and vicara) , good projects and good DSA skills. But due to weak cs fundamentals and system design knowledge I got rejected by top companies that came in our campus. Currently till september 4 to 5 13+ lpa companies will come for on campus drive. And then from october some one or two 12-16 lpa companies will come on campus.

I am preparing my cs funda knowledge and system design side by side. There are some off campus drive is going on right now for quiet a few companies.

Should I apply for them now ?? (What I am thinking is - as my cv is good and dsa skills are good most probably I will get the test link and clear the O.T. but I will be rejected in interview because of lack of cs funda skill and I will go into the cooling period of 6 months as most companies have it).

So will it be Okay if I let these opportunities go for now and focus on preparation only and once I am prepared well by september or october then I should apply (as I have heard all companies again hire in december - april off campus) ???

Or it will be a blunder to ignore these opportunities ??

Do they hire less people in december-aprli ??
