Higher studies or job?

Hi, if you're someone who's working in the industry or if you have been in the same situation before please help me out here. I am currently in my fourth year and I'm preparing for Gate. But everyone around me is advising me saying a master's degree isn't worth it for Computer Science and especially when you get it from a university in India. I do not have plans to pursue a PhD later, I just want to explore the different fields in Computer science for a few more years before stepping into the industry. I recently finished an internship at a tech company and I don't feel great about working full-time just yet.
Should I take up a full-time role and learn stuff that I like on the side and decide if I want to do masters after a year or so? Does the industry really not care about a master's degree in Computer Science? Do they not hold any value in terms of job opportunities? If I choose to do masters in India will those 2 years be seen as a period where I lag behind my batch?
To give a bit of context, I'm talking about doing my masters in India and not abroad since I would like to work here and not be away from my family. I'm from a good Tier-2 institute that gets good companies for on-campus placements. In that case, is doing masters going to be a waste and not help me with any sort of career growth?
