I work in a faang level company right now. I have been here for about 10 months and am thinking of switching, mainly because I don't know if its just my team or what, but the code we right and the design violates way too many common principles. In most of the meetings I just keep having arguments with my manager why what we are doing is wrong and try to get people to do the right thing but it hasn't worked so far. It is so bad that I even try to avoid giving presentations to higher management because I know there are design flaws and they will ask those exact questions and i would have no response. I have tried for internal transfer to other teams but have been denied internal transfer. I don't have any other problem at my current job, my manager acknowledges that I do good work and has expressed it many times. But I don't feel I am learning.

Is it common for people to switch first job within a year? I am planning to switch once I get my RSU's vested for this year.
