Hi All,

Currently, I am working as a Technical support engineer with a product based company and getting package around 8.0 LPA. I am having 3 years of experience of tech support. However, My current role does not include any coding work nor there is room for creativity/idea, due to which i am planning to switch/ change my career path into the role which includes programming.

I need tips/suggestions on how i can go into the programming role ? Will another company consider 3 years of tech support experience for programmer job profile ? If not, how can we make use of tech support experience ? Can another company offer me more than 8.0 LPA [current CTC] for programmers role ?
