This question is for students pursuing MS in CS or related field in USA (others feel free to give inputs as well). Do all companies (FAANG, startups etc) ask DSA questions in interview process for new grad SDE / Data Scientist roles ? Do some companies focus more on technical knowledge acquired in previous jobs ?

I am planning to apply for Fall 2022 intake. I have interest in Data Science and my current job is related to this. Should I focus just on DSA and problem solving for the next 1.5 years or should I gain more technical knowledge / experience ? What would be more beneficial considering I just want to get a job after masters ?
