Hope you all are doing well !\n\nI am working as a BI Developer in India for the past 1 year. My work involves Data Analysis in Python, using SQL and DAX for ETL Operations and some Machine Learning on Azure. \nI want to switch field and get a job as a Software Engineer / Data Scientist. I have basic knowledge of Data Structures, Machine Learning algorithms and I am practicing LeetCode for the past 2 months. \nI can dedicate 1-2 hours daily to Leetcode. What more should I do to make myself more capable of switching field ? Since most companies ask for prior experience in \'related field\', should I first do an internship as SWE / Data Scientist ? Will top product based companies (Amazon, Swiggy etc) consider me for internsip roles ? \n\nAny help is highly appreciated !
